“When We Were Alive”

Acquired three new CDs today of which this is one. The other two were actually released today; this is a few months old. On first blush, it’s no The Body, The Blood, The Machine, but it’s pretty enjoyable. The lyric “you shoulda seen us in our prime” sounds funny coming from a band that’s only as old as 2002, but it’s well belied anyway by the song itself, which packs an awful lot of outrageously catchy anger into 90 seconds. What other pop punk makes serious people want to put their fists in the air? (Rhetorical! It does, or at least ought to.)
